Thank you Molly Maid for sponsoring this post. Take care of yourself and your home with great tips from Molly Maid and the Cleaning Tips Institute! #MollyMaidTips
For as long as I have been working outside of the home full-time, I have always wanted to hire a maid service to help me to maintain the cleanliness of our home. There is only so much cleaning that I can get done during the evenings and on the weekends around here. Besides, I would much rather spend the majority of my free time having fun with my family, gardening in my backyard, painting my latest furniture find or even watching a movie!
It is not that I mind cleaning so much. I just find that there is not enough time to get everything done that I want to. As a result my cleaning usually gets put on the backburner! I also am blessed with two wonderful children so keeping things clean and organized around our house has become my biggest challenge yet. Those of you with children can probably relate to this; kids can make messes faster than they can be cleaned up sometimes!
When I think of cleaning services, Molly Maid is the first name that comes to mind for me. They have been known as a reputable company for so many years! Recently, I have been seriously contemplating hiring a maid service to help me with the cleaning and to help maintain my sanity. I decided to pop over to the Molly Maid website to see what was new. One thing that really surprised me was that Molly Maid has cleaning tips videos on their website? I had no idea they had this! So helpful!
Out of the 11 videos that they have on their website, the video below is my favourite as I have been trying to get my kids to help out more around the house. Molly Maid has the right idea! Team work is the only way we are going to get things in order around our house once again and keep it that way. Thanks Molly Maid!
All Hands on Deck: How to Get your Kids Involved in Cleaning
Two other videos I found to be very helpful was the one on Coffee Table Crop Signs and also the one on Dirty Dishes Dirty Sink. My kids are forever leaving water marks on my furniture when they help themselves to a drink (they forget to use coasters most of the time!) so it is great to know how to get rid of those pesky watermarks on my sidetables. As well, around our house dirty dishes tend to collect very quickly, sometimes even overflowing the sink. It is so nice to know how to keep the dishes in order and the kitchen sink clean and sparkling.
I need to talk it over more with my husband, but I would really like to hire Molly Maid in the near future to help out with some of the cleaning that tends to not get done as often it should around here such as cleaning the bathrooms, washing the windows and keeping up with the seasonal cleaning. Having Molly Maid come in to do the deep cleaning, even once a month, would help us out so much!
Have you ever hired a maid service before? How was your experience? Is it something that you would do again?
